Jason had a successful basketball career as a 4 year student athlete for the Michigan State Spartans and was elected Captain his senior year. While at MSU he contributed to numerous Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Tournament victories. In his Senior year Jason's team lost in the Final Four game of the NCAA Championship. This began a long streak in NCAA Tournament play for MSU, including the National Championship the very next year. Jason remains active in alumni activities and supports the program through various avenues.
After MSU Jason played professionally for eight years in Spain. He was the captain of his team for four of the eight years and holds the record for the longest tenure of any player in the Canary Telcomm Organization. He retired from professional basketball in 2008.
Upon his return to the U.S. he completed his Bachelor’s Degree and obtained a Certificate of Tax in May, 2008. At that time Jason joined the family accounting firm, Klein's Accounting. Klein's Accounting is a thirty year old regional company and Jason is currently a partner with his father, Joe Klein. Their firm provides financial and tax services for thousands of clients. As part of Jason's offerings, he manages a rental portfolio on behalf of his clients and also owns a fleet of his own.
